Real Magic: Potions
The study of potions and their role in spells. Our resident Potions Mistress is a Medical Herbalist in training, as well as a keen wild food forager and magician.
In this course you will learn to use potions to create all sorts of useful healing and magical potions. The focus is on practical application mixed with a good dose of scientific theory. You will learn useful potions, philtres, and decoctions for all sorts of situations.
Term One will introduce the student to the magical use and preparation of a variety of commonly found plant and herb species for use in spells. Term Two will lead on from this with a more advanced look at less common and harder to prepare magical ingredients.
Real Magic: Divination
The word Divination comes from the Latin word divinare, which means "to foresee, to be inspired by a god".
Divination at Harry Potter with Professor Trelawney was rather a harum scarum affair! However here at Pendragon’s we actually consider Divination to be amongst the most valuable of our lessons.
You see Divination is the process of unlocking your own subconscious mind to give you answers about the present, the past, and even the future.
Every second of our lives, every minor detail we think we have forgotten is stored deep within our memory waiting to be discovered. Every action has a reaction- and our conscious minds which are attuned to the minutia of everyday living usually miss out on the countless clues we have been given to access the probability of any given future. Divination allows us to access these details to give us deeper wisdom and the tools to change our lives in a miraculous way.

As well as being an incredible (drug free!) trip Lucid Dreaming is a useful tool for divination as you access and explore memories and images from your waking life.
Druidcraft 1: The Magical Power of Trees
Learn how to harness the gentle but powerful influence of trees in your spellwork. This is also a useful module if you are unsure which type of wand is most appropriate for your personality.
