Apples have long been associated with fertility, abundance, and temptation (think harvest and the Garden of Eden!) A red candle
A white candle
An apple
A goblet of mead.
A red flower
A white flower
Pen and paper
Timing: This magic spell is most effective on a waxing moon, as you wish to draw a lover towards you. Begin the magic spell just before dawn if possible, but this is not essential.
How to cast the magic spell:
Cast a circle to begin the magic spell.
Put on your most beautiful dress.
Light the white candle, saying- “I have a love who's loyal and true.”
Light the red candle, saying- “I have a love to share great passion.”
Sit between the two candles and meditate upon the qualities you would like to find in your perfect lover. Write these qualities down on your piece of paper.
Cradle the apple in your hands whilst still reflecting on the qualities of your ideal partner. Say, “My lover draws nearer. My lover is with me.”
Eat the apple.
Pluck out the pips and place them one by one into the goblet of mead. As each pip goes in to the cup recite the qualities you wrote on your piece of paper- I.e My lover is kind, my lover is adventurous, my lover has a hot Spanish accent...Tear the paper in two and burn it in the two candles.
Drink the mead (avoiding the pips!)
Take the pips out into your garden, or some other favourite place, and plant them. Scatter the red flower and the white flower on top of them, repeating- “I have a love who's loyal and true”, “I have a love to share great passion” as you did with the candles.
Close your magic spell by saying “So mote it be!”
