As a Witch or Wizard you will have occasion to use many different types of magic spells in your life, whether for yourself or others.
There are four distinct categories of magic spell which every serious witch or wizard should be aware of – categories which encompass most areas of spellwork, and which each require a different approach for optimal and sympathetic results.

Manifesting Magic Spells
Manifesting Spells are probably the most common type of spell which you will perform throughout your career as a witch or wizard. They are also, arguably, the most exciting – there is nothing more wonderful than casting a manifesting spell for a particular outcome and then seeing it happen just as you wanted it to!
Manifesting spells, of course, are spells which are cast by the witch to manifest or bring into being a certain wish or desire. For example, you may choose to use a manifesting spell to attract money or love into your life.
The best time for a witch to cast a manifesting spell is between the new and full moons.
Banishing Magic Spells
Banishing spells should hopefully prove to be a rare occurrence in your life – wherever possible it is best to choose a more positive magic spell instead. For example, it would usually be more appropriate for a witch to perform a manifesting spell for wealth rather than a banishing spell for poverty…
However, sometimes you may feel like someone is forcing their negative influence upon your life; and in this case you may wish to not harm them, but banish them – in other words - send them away with love!
Alternatively, you may occasionally feel like you are having difficulty controlling negative emotions, and in this scenario it is appropriate to acknowledge these emotions with a banishing spell. This way you will be truly able to let them go and move on with your life.
If emotions are blocking your path – choose a banishing spell – if you simply haven’t been lucky enough to achieve a certain goal just yet, a more positive manifesting spell may be more effective.
For an especially powerful banishing spell, choose a time at the dark of the moon (the period directly before the new moon). Don’t wait too long for this though, if something needs banishing immediately, do it now!
Blessing Magic Spells
Spells for blessing and protection are appropriate for a witch to cast whenever they start a new journey in life. A new home, a new baby, a new love, a new business enterprise – all of these things and more are suitable for a blessing spell.
This spell will alert the Invisible world to your new enterprise and ensure the very best possible start and outcome of your new work or life change.
The perfect time for a witch to perform a blessing spell is between the new and full moons
Honouring Magic Spells
Appreciation is one of the first laws of magic. Positive, appreciative magicians forge more effective magic spells and are given much – magic courts the thankful witch or wizard.
For this reason, whether you believe in Goddesses, Deities, the Invisible World or the *Magic Golden Duckling it helps to show your appreciation with an honouring spell now and again.
Whatever it is you are thankful for and wish to honour– achieving a goal, a good harvest, remembering the dead, celebrating a specific archetype or holiday – do it like you mean it. Kill the metaphorical fatted calf and share some of your bounty with others…
